Homeland Security
Homeland security is one of the most criticized for being overpaid and yet it is completely necessary. Homeland security is split into many branches such as counter-terrorism, border security, P.R.R. (Preparedness, Response, and Recovery), Immigration, and Cyber-security. Homeland Security is what keeps us safe and what keeps us on top as a supper power. However, at times it seems our country isn't as secure as we like to think it is. It seems that as much as its the governments job to keep us safe they do try to hide things from us as well. One topic that got me stunned was that around 5 years ago China hacked into our governments networks and was able to attain every blue print for every nuke we have. Now they know this happened and China was able to get away with this. You would think that the government would be trying to focus more on cyber-security, however it seems they have more important problems. (heres a video of chinas threat through espionage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHvgKD7dhJU )
