So, generally:
Democrats support abortion and the rights of a woman to her body, where Republicans generally demonize it. But there are pro-Roe Republicans and anti-Roe Democrats, it's hard to say where the public and the politicans stand on the issues.
Since Roe. v. Wade, red states have constantly tried to overturn the Supreme Court ruling with pages of legislation. Since Planned Parenthood v. Casey, red states have passed waiting periods, parental consent laws, and laws requiring pregnant women to go undergo an ultrasound, hear a fetal heartbeat and go to a religious clinic where the sole objective of the staff is to spout anti-abortion rhetoric. The claims against abortion are often less scienctific and more highfalutin rhetoric. Mississippi recently tried to pass the "Personhood" law, which defines a life starting at fertilization. This, of course, means no abortions, but also no birth control, contraception, stem stell research, and in vitro fertilization.
But Democrats have their say too - just in the courts. Judges (surprisingly, some appointed under Bush) roll their eyes and shake their heads, and on the state level, don't overreach beyond where the Supreme Court has already gone.
It's definitely a battle of Roe v. World, but the lines get blurrier where it gets to red and blue.
