The Constitution states that the president to be "Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States". However, the president does not have the ability to declare war, that power lies with Congress. While the War Powers Act gives the president some flexibility, it also limits the president. President Obama has recently been accussed of overstepping the boundries in America's involvement in Lybia (just a warning, there is moderatly graphic picture on this page). I personally do not agree with President Obama that our actions in Lybia are not covered by the War Powers Act. However, I do support President Obama's assertions because I believe that we should be involved in Lybia, and if this is the way it can happen then so be it.

I'm personally grateful that our classes are not taught this way in school. 2:20 seems particullarly dull. I advise not watching this entire video.
If you'd like to see a more amusing training video, click here. While this is meant to improve soldiers' confidence in their weapons, I am left thinking that it is playtime on the firing range. My personal favorites are the demonstrations of anti-tank weapons, the use of mortars on a "command post", and the constant encouragement that all your weapons can kill the Germans easily. I have to wonder who got told to play the German infantry at the begining of the video.
