It is up to debate whether the federal government should support stem cell research regardless of its means. the issue the increasing number of states who support the research. California allocates $300 million, Wisconsin disperses $375 million, as well as Massachusetts. The concern is the states leading the charge without federal aid. A state lead research initiative nneds the support of the federal government. Support of the federal government would allow for national standards, nationally granted funds, and would fuse all of the resources to further. It woud be ideal for the federal government to set standards for states to follow and regualte the research otherwise other nations may exceed our contributonto medical field.
