The EPA and NJ

The EPA hones in on individual states needs and combats problems specific to that state.

Earlier this month, New Jersey (and New York) was awarded $441,860 In grants to prevent pollution, and maintain people's health. The grant is going towards lessening the use of harmful materials used at many businesses, universities, and state agencies.

NJIT was granted $178,060 to create online training for supermarkets, in order to help reduce their use of energy, which in some instances seeps harmful chemicals into our environment.

The NJEPA was given $180,000 to promote sustainability in hotels, especially those in Cape May, and Atlantic counties.

Morristown itself has come a long way in the movement of sustainability, with programs such as Grow It Green! And Sustainable Morristown.
