Iraq: Red vs. Blue
The public's view on war in the middle east can basically be split into two categories; supportive and unsupportive. For the most part, it is an accepted fact that those who are considered conservatives are pro-war, and those who are considered liberal/progressive are against the war. For this reason, it is easy to understand where Republicans/conservatives stand as opposed to Democrats/progressives. A supporting argument for the liberal school of thought on this issue is the fact that they are after peace, commonly being the pacifists. After all, isn't peace what the world is supposed to be morally striving for? However, a conservative might disagree. Grouped with the militarists, a supporting argument for this group is that national security might be on the line; is it better to be safe than sorry?
