Gun Control

The issue that I have decided to follow is gun control. I want to follow this issue because I feel that it is a very controversial topic in American politics. Gun control is really an issue that tends to be divided based on political party offiliations. The republicans typically feel that gun control should be loosened or just not tightened in areas where it is alreay loose enough. The democrats tend to feel that gun control should be tight or just have no guns being sold at allif they're extreme enough. The debate presses on mainly as a division of party interest. I feel that republicans have strong support in favor of loosening gun control because of the existence of the second amendment to the US Constitution in the Bill of Rights. Democrats argue the legitimacy of this amendment because the amendment was passed well over 200 years ago and therefore, the reasons as to why people were permitted to own firearms has long since vanished.
